Unless you are going to be traveling for months at a time, you probably don’t need to take full-size bottles of shampoo and conditioner with you. And even if you were going on that two-month long cruise, why take rigid plastic containers that stay the same size? The same goes for liquid soap for hand washing items; for hand and body lotion, and for men’s hair gel.
All the stores that carry travel items have plenty of solid plastic bottles that you can take, but those are not very efficient in that they continue to take up the same amount of space no matter how much you’ve used up.
I found a really nice solution on – you guessed it – on Amazon. These are small collapsible liquid containers that come in three sizes: 30 ml, 50ml, and 100 ml. The largest size is conveniently small enough to still be TSA-compliant, and the 18-pack of these liquid pouches contains six of each size, so you’ll have enough that you won’t have to be swapping liquids in and out between trips. You can even use one for liquid sunscreen for those days at the beach or at the pool. Once you start using them, you’ll probably keep finding more uses. And rather than writing on the pouches, I use labels!
Total heights and widths empty (my measurements)
• 100 ml 6.5” x 3.125”
• 50 ml 5.625” x 3.125”
• 30 ml 4.625” x 3.125”
Order yours on Amazon and be ready for your next trip.
