Afar Salt-Miners of the Danakil – Ethiopia

[ad_1]

How the Photo was Taken

Taken with a easy digital camera, the Cannon Powershot SX710 HS. No filters applied, brightness slightly lowered (it is extremely vibrant in the Danakil depression!) but otherwise not altered.

Photo Place

The salt flats of the Danakil Depression in eastern Ethiopia. The hottest location on earth (in terms of year-round temperature) it is a especially inhospitable location. The Afar are seriously challenging persons.
