TOP 20: THE BEST VINTAGE AIRLINE UNIFORMS

The Golden Era of Aviation.

This article is all about that. Back in time, the Flight Attendant’s profession was one of the most glamorous ones and the air travel was a luxurious habit, only for the wealthy people and the elites. Not many people had the chance to travel by plane, however it was a unique expereince for the ones who could do that.

And although, as I have already said, a flight attendant should be wearing the uniform in order to fly and not fly in order to wear a uniform, that era was a big exception I guess. From the unique headbands, the Pierre Cardin coats of Olympic Airways, the Bubble Helmet of Pucci, the yellow hats of Monarch Airlines, the white boots of Air New Zealand and the fantastic white “turban” of Pan Am, that era up in the air was simply fantastic!

I would give my right arm, in order to have a flight career back in the 70’s.

No exaggeration at all!

This post will be mainly visual, full of inspirational photos that will make you feel jealous of that period. I personally believe, that this Aviation period will hardly be repeated.

So, I begin with my first favorite, the 60’s outfit of Olympic Airways, perfectly designed by Pierre Cardin. Not that is Greek and I support everything Greek, White and Blue, but I honestly think that it was (if not the best), one of the Top Airline Uniforms of all times.

Welcome Onboard and Enjoy!
