Sydney to Lakes Entrance – Road trip – SOLOPASSPORT

[ad_1]

When I informed men and women about our ambitious road trip from Sydney to Lakes Entrance, everybody asked me if I knew what I was speaking and how quite a few hours drive was. We had been 3 of us (Vijay, Som and me) and we had only the weekend to cover approx. 1500 kilometres. And we had created this great program in the car or truck, even though we had been driving about Southern Highlands.

When we speak about Sydney and Lakes Entrance, we are referring to two states – New South Wales and Victoria. There are two routes from Sydney to Lakes Entrance. A single is the inland by way of Canberra and is the shorter route and the other a single is the coastal and scenic route by way of Wollongong and Eden.

And we took the coastal route. The towns/cities that we passed along the way had been:

  • Sydney (beginning point)
  • Wollongong
  • Kiama
  • Huskisson
  • Nowra
  • Jervis Bay
  • Broulee
  • Ulladulla
  • Batemans Bay
  • Narooma
  • Tilba Tilba
  • Bermagui
  • Pambula
  • Marimbula
  • Eden
  • Gipsy Point
  • Mallacoota
  • Lakes Entrance (location)

There are a lot of items to do on the way and we have noticed some of these towns/cities currently. So, we have decided not to stop by the locations we have currently noticed once more.

Itinerary:

Friday evening – Commence from Strathfield (Sydney) at about five PM. The program is to drive to Eden. The total distance is approx. 550 kilometres (coastal route). And we stayed right here for the evening.

Saturday – Discover Eden and attain Lakes Entrance by afternoon. The distance is about approx. 250 kilometres.

Sunday – Drive from Lakes Entrance to Strathfield (Sydney). The distance is about approx. 700 kilometres.

Factors to do:

I had listed the items that we wanted to see and do. This was just a want list and we had been not positive if we would get sufficient time to do all the items listed right here.

    • Eden Killer Whale Museum
    • Eden lookout
  • Lakes Entrance
    • Griffiths Shell museum
    • Cunninghame Arm Foot Bridge

Remain for the two nights:

On Friday evening, we decided to keep at a good location and we booked a motel. The name of the location was Eden Motel and it costed us AUD 100 for three men and women.

On Saturday evening, we decided to camp. The climate was ranging from 18 degrees C to 22 degrees C.

  • Lakes Entrance Recreation and Camping Reserve
  • Address: 1 Rowe Street, Lakes Entrance, Vic 3909.
