I pretty enjoyed the regional foodie scene in Xiamen. There have been new dishes I found and specialities that I attempted. Meals plays a big element in my travels, mostly simply because I enjoy to consume and love what the culinary globe has to offer you.
Meals, in my travel book, can make or break the adventure and they can occasionally be the highlights as well! In this weblog post, I will be posting the meals photos I took in Xiamen.

The street meals scene in Xiamen is concentrated about the region of Zhongshan Road pedestrian street and its various alleys. This location has a lively scene no matter what time of the day or evening.

There are grilled pork and chicken barbecue and chicken feet.
A seafood stall promoting diverse sorts of shellfishes and crustaceans. They resident cook prepares the seafood for you although you wait. There is a tiny space for consuming.
Glass noodles (vermicelli) are a speciality in Xiamen. These are scallops are covered with glass noodles and some spices. I ordered this and it was scrumptious.
My “lobster” lunch. They grilled this prior to serving. I had to get employed to the regional spice right here. It is what we all contact, an acquired taste.
Taiping Lu is a tiny alley of Zhongshan Lu pedestrian street that is brimming with street meals vendors. It is not as well far from the Siming South Road. Very advise this street!
Sea worm jellies are an additional preferred regional delicacy in Xiamen. I could not dare myself attempt this. I imply, I just really can’t. It is not my cup of tea. Pass!
Grilled octopus tentacles are also a popular sight in Xiamen. I have not attempted.
Reduce chicken feet in portions, prepared for sale. Chicken feet are generally a favourite in Asian. I keep in mind in the Philippines, they contact these Adidas (commonly on a stick). Yes, named following the popular German shoe manufacturer, lol.

A quite busy street side meals court on Zhongshan Road pedestrian street. It is usually busy right here, in particular in the evening.
Some of the dim sum on offer you have big portions.
Shellfish and crayfish in sizzling sauces.
This is an additional version of the Oyster Omelette, the meals court version. I have attempted the street meals version.
Post Its on the wall. They have been all written in Mandarin Chinese so I could not seriously study them.
Take-away drinks such as milk teas are also everywhere in Xiamen. I do not have a favourite but, so every single time I attempt a new flavour. I have a tendency to steer clear from as well flavoured ones. I am not quite fond of the tapioca pearls.
The popular Peking duck which can be eaten with rice wafers by rolling a piece of meat with it. See beneath in box for examples. My mom loves this.
The mango smoothie drink with actual mango chunks. This is also virtually everywhere!
This mobile vendor had to appear for a new location to sell her meals on the streets simply because the police just arrived. She reminds me of the girls street vendors in Ben Thanh industry, Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City).
Fruit ice cream seeking like soaps.
Yet another mobile vendor on the correct and I am not certain what he is promoting although.
The bao’s or the steamed buns, prepared for the taking.
An outside wet industry I bumped into although taking a stroll about the Siming region in Xiamen. I think 1 of the alleys on Lujiang Road.
A diverse type of bread-bun. Will have to be scrumptious to consume when its nevertheless warm.
